BBAA Valencia students visit CAAC-Cuenca in the UCLM campus
The International Museum of Electrography, Center for Innovation in Art and New Technologies (MIDECIANT) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) expands its funds with 5,000 pieces and thousands of complementary documents from the Mail Art movement of the artists Ibirico, Reglero and Valdor With this donation, this center of the regional University expands up to more than 9,000 permanent works of electrographic and digital art work.

The freezing of a memory: Tribute to Edith Weyde
Today at 8 pm will be opened at José de la Mano Gallery of Madrid the exhibition “El arte de la fotocopia. 1970-1985 (cuando la copia se convierte en original)”. This exhibition, which can be visited until November 8th, has works from many artists of the spanish copy art movement, and among them, many from Alcalacanales and Equipo AC, of our director José Ramón Alcalá, who, in addition, has created a new installation with Rubén Tortosa and supported by Miguel Sánchez.
The visit of Marisa González
Edith Weyde was a German chemist at the Agfa company in Leverkusen who, together with the Belgian engineer André Rott, created the process of transferring images by diffusion or Diffusion Transfer Reversal (DTR), with the aim of automating the photographic process, was one of the bigger advances in silver copying techniques (silver salts). It is the basic process that allowed the instant photography of companies like Polaroid, Kodak or Fuji and even the origin of the direct electrophotographic reproduction system.
Genealogies, Stories and Construction of the Archives of Media Art in Spain
Friday July 13 we received the visit of Marisa González at the International Museum of Electrography (MIDECIANT) of Cuenca (Spain). Who also had the kindness and generosity to donate a series of pioneering copy art and digital art pieces for the museum’s permanent collection. Thank you very much. It is an honor and a pleasure. We hope that the visit was of your pleasure and interest and we hope to see you again by the MIDE -your house- as soon as possible.

The presentation of the artist and full professor Jesús Pastor took place in the Research Master on Artistic and Vistual Practices. At the end of his presentation, Pastor explained all students about the artistic donation to the MIDE collection, that he has just completed with differents artworks that represent his artistic career.
